Recovery Resources: You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Free recovery resources for Florida • Texas • Arizona • Ohio • Michigan • Iowa
Free help. No judgment. No sign-up with me required.
I’m Christopher Horne, a licensed health insurance broker — but this page isn’t about selling anything. Addiction is a terrible thing, and I’ve watched it hurt too many families across Florida, Texas, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee — the sixteen states where I work. So I put together the real, free resources I’d hand to anyone who asked me for help: helplines, treatment finders, sober living, and support groups. You don’t have to be my client. You don’t have to buy anything. If one of these helps you or someone you love take the first step, that’s enough for me.

How Health Insurance Helps
Here’s something a lot of people don’t know: under the Affordable Care Act, substance use disorder treatment is an essential health benefit. That means ACA Marketplace health plans are required to cover drug and alcohol treatment — things like detox, inpatient and outpatient rehab, counseling, and medications — the same way they cover any other medical care.
That’s where I come in. If you already have a plan, I can help you check what it covers for treatment. If you don’t have coverage, I can help you find a plan that does — open enrollment starts November 1. For the full rundown on what plans typically cover, see my rehab coverage guide. Either way, there’s no charge to talk to me, and everything stays confidential.
