Sober living help in all sixteen states I serve
This started as a Broward County list. The same free help now has a page for every state I’m licensed in - each one points to that state’s own certified recovery-housing directory and helplines:
Florida
Broward County is the live, home-by-home list on this page (below). Coverage grows county by county over time - if you’re elsewhere in Florida, start with the FARR certified-residence directory and text me; I’ll help you work it.
Texas
Certified recovery residences statewide through TROHN, the Texas NARR affiliate, plus 211 Texas and state treatment resources.
Arizona
AzRHA-certified homes statewide through the AzRHA home search, plus the Arizona statewide crisis line (call or text, 24/7).
Ohio
Ohio Recovery Housing (ORH) residence resources statewide, plus the Ohio CareLine for 24/7 support.
Michigan
MARR’s directory of certified recovery residences in Michigan, plus the state’s official Find Help page.
Iowa
Iowa has no state certifying affiliate yet - so this page routes you to Your Life Iowa, the NARR national directory, and Oxford House instead, honestly labeled.
Florida: Broward County sober living
Broward is where this list started and where it’s deepest. Florida county coverage grows over time; if you’re in Florida but outside Broward, the FARR directory (first card below) covers certified homes statewide and I’ll help you narrow it down by text.
Availability changes daily - always call to confirm
Sober living beds open and fill fast, and no website (including this one) can promise you a room. Every listing below has a tap-to-call number so you can ask the home directly, today: "Do you have a bed open, and what do I need to do to get it?" If calling feels like too much right now, text me and I will help you work through the list.
I’m Christopher Horne. I keep this page because people in Broward ask me where someone in recovery can actually live - and "search the internet and hope" is a terrible answer at the worst moment of someone’s life. So here is the working list: recovery residences I could verify are real and operating in Broward County, grouped by city, with who each home serves and a tap-to-call number.
How to read this list: "FARR-certified" means the home states it is certified by the Florida Association of Recovery Residences, Florida’s credentialing body for recovery residences - certification is voluntary and means the home meets state-recognized standards. Where a home does not publish its certification or who it serves, I say so plainly. Inclusion on this page is information only - it is not an endorsement, and I do not place people or guarantee admission to any home.
Want help making the calls? That part is free too.
Text RECOVERY to 954-787-9118 and I’ll send you this list and help you figure out which homes fit - men’s, women’s, your part of Broward - and I can sit on a three-way call with you while you talk to them. You don’t have to be my client. You don’t have to buy anything. This page exists to be used.

Before you call: questions worth asking
- Do you have a bed open today - and if not, is there a waitlist?
- What does it cost to move in, and what is due each week? (Prices change; get today’s number from the home, not a website.)
- What are the house rules - meetings, curfew, drug testing, guests?
- Are medications for addiction treatment (like Suboxone or methadone) allowed? Homes differ - ask directly.
- What happens if someone relapses? Get the answer in writing if you can.
- Can I see the agreement before I pay anything? Keep copies of everything you sign.
