Can I Donate in Michigan? The Basics
- Age: most centers accept donors at 16 with parental consent, and 17+ on your own.
- Bring: a photo ID.
- Time: about an hour total; the donation itself takes roughly 10 minutes.
- How often: whole blood can generally be given every 56 days.
Eat before you go, drink plenty of water, and bring any medication questions to the private screening at check-in — the Versiti team answers them at every drive.
