Health Insurance Agent Events: Where to Network All Year

The conferences, summits, and association events worth your time — national and across my sixteen states.

I’m Christopher Horne. I sell health insurance in sixteen states, and I’m building toward leading a team — so I take networking seriously. The agents who show up in the right rooms learn faster, hear about rule changes first, and meet the people who open doors. This page is my running list of the events that matter for health insurance agents and brokers. If you see me at one of these, come say hi — first coffee’s on me.

National Conferences

The big rooms. If you only do two events a year, make it the NABIP pair.

NABIP Capitol Conference 2027

February 21–24, 2027 — Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, Washington, DC

The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals’ 37th annual legislative conference. Three days of policy briefings, federal agency sessions, and face time with lawmakers and congressional staff on Capitol Hill — Medicare, the ACA Marketplace, employer coverage, and drug pricing. The single best place to understand what’s coming for our industry.

NABIP Annual Convention 2027

June 26–29, 2027 — Salt Lake City, Utah

NABIP’s 97th annual convention and exhibition. Continuing education, the Gordon Awards gala, a packed exhibit hall of carriers and vendors, and thousands of agents and brokers. This is the networking event of the year for our profession.

AHIP27

June 10–11, 2027 (opening reception June 9) — Las Vegas, Nevada

America’s Health Insurance Plans’ flagship national conference. Carrier executives, policymakers, and industry leaders. Heavier on the carrier and executive side than the agent side — go to see where the industry is headed and to meet carrier leadership face to face.

AHIP future conferences →

AHIP MMDC27 — Medicare, Medicaid, Dual Eligibles & Commercial Markets Forum

March 8–10, 2027 — Washington, DC

AHIP’s policy forum covering Medicare, Medicaid, dual-eligibles, and commercial markets. More policy-wonk than sales-floor — ideal if you want to deeply understand the rules shaping the ACA Marketplace and public programs.

Agent-Focused Summits

Built for producers, not executives.

Medicarians Vegas 2027

April 12–14, 2027 — Caesars Forum, Las Vegas, Nevada

The senior health and wealth distribution conference — with dedicated ACA Health Summit and Agent Symposium tracks, agent roundtables, tabletop exhibits, and an expo hall. Built for agents who sell to real people: education, compliance corners, and peer-to-peer sessions alongside the senior-market content.

State Association Events

Your state chapter is where the local relationships live — the carriers’ state reps, the top local producers, the CE classes that actually apply to your market.

Florida

NABIP Florida Day on the Hill

February 1–2, 2027 — Aloft Tallahassee Downtown, Tallahassee, FL

Florida’s health insurance professionals take their voice to the state Capitol — advocacy, education, and connection with the people shaping Florida policy.

NABIP Florida Benefits & Medicare Symposium

2027 dates TBA — Florida

The chapter’s annual symposium — education, recognition, and networking. The 2026 event already happened; watch the chapter for 2027 dates.

Texas

NABIP-TX Annual Conference 2027

April 5–6, 2027 — Hyatt Regency Frisco-Dallas, Frisco, TX

Texas’ state convention — agents, brokers, general agents, and financial planners, with heavy CE offerings, an awards gala, and a sold-out-style exhibit hall. One of the strongest state conferences in the country.

Tennessee

NABIP Tennessee Annual Symposium

2027 dates TBA — Tennessee

NABIP Tennessee runs an annual symposium plus 6+ events a year across four regional chapters — CE programs, advocacy, and real peer connections.

NABIP Tennessee chapter →

Arizona, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina

Every one of these states has an active NABIP chapter running local events — luncheons, CE classes, golf outings, legislative days, and an annual state conference. As of October 8, 2026, 2027 dates weren’t published yet for these chapters. Find yours and get on the list:

Carrier & Platform Events

An honest note: most carrier broker summits — Ambetter/Centene, UnitedHealthcare, and the rest — are invite-only through your upline or FMO. There are no public pages to link, so ask your field marketing organization what’s on the calendar. HealthSherpa, the enrollment platform, runs agent webinars and training hubs rather than a public conference. If public dates appear for any of these, I’ll add them here.

How to Work an Event (4 Tips)

  1. Go with one question. “What’s working for your ACA book right now?” beats “So what do you do?” every time.
  2. Sit with strangers at lunch. The sessions are the syllabus; the meals are the education.
  3. Follow up within 48 hours. A two-line text referencing your actual conversation beats a LinkedIn blast to 200 people.
  4. Bring value, not cards. Share one thing that’s working for you before you ask for anything. Givers get remembered.

Are You an Agent? Let’s Connect.

I’m building toward leading a team, and I’m always looking to meet sharp agents — especially across Florida, Texas, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, and Virginia. Text me and let’s talk shop.
