Health Insurance in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Golf communities, medical professionals, and master-planned suburbs.
Palm Beach Gardens is master-planned prosperity — PGA National golf communities, the Gardens Mall retail corridor, and a big medical workforce around Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Many residents are dual-income professional households buying coverage during job changes, plus early-retiree retirees in gated communities who need dependable specialist access. The Marketplace can work very well here when the income estimate and network are handled carefully.
How the Marketplace Works in Florida
Florida uses the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov. During Open Enrollment (November 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027) you can shop, compare, and enroll — enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1. Depending on income, federal tax credits can lower your premium and cost-sharing reductions can lower what you pay for care on Silver plans. Florida has not expanded Medicaid, so there is a coverage gap below 100% of the poverty level — but tax credits are available at 100% and above, which is where I do most of my quoting. Outside Open Enrollment, a qualifying life event — losing coverage, moving, marriage, a new baby — triggers a Special Enrollment Period, usually 60 days.
Who I Help in Palm Beach Gardens
Most of my Palm Beach Gardens clients fall into a few groups:
- Medical professionals — Hospital and clinic staff whose employers’ plans do not fit the family.
- Golf-community retirees — PGA National and Mirasol residents covering the gap years.
- Professional households — Dual-income families in Evergrene and Frenchman’s Creek during job transitions.
- Self-employed agents and brokers — Real-estate and insurance professionals based around PGA Boulevard.
A Local Note on Choosing Well
Residents often split care between Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Jupiter Medical Center, and specialists in West Palm Beach. I line up the whole map — hospital, primary care, and pharmacy — so there are no surprise out-of-network bills.
Why Work With a Broker Instead of Going It Alone
The Marketplace website will show you plans, but it won’t tell you which doctors are actually easy to see, which plans have surprised people with bills, or how a plan change next year affects the prescriptions you take. That’s what I do.
As a licensed broker, I help you compare plans side by side — networks, drug coverage, deductibles, and real total cost — in plain English. There’s no fee for my help; I’m paid by the insurance company. Many of my clients also stack supplemental coverage on top of their major medical: Golden Rule (UnitedHealthcare) AccidentWise, HospitalWise, and DentalWise Max dental coverage — benefit amounts and limits vary by the policy you choose, and we review the actual schedule together before you enroll — the same combination I walk through on every call in every state I serve. And I don’t disappear after enrollment: when you get a confusing bill or need to change plans, you call me directly at 954-787-9118.
