Health Insurance in Irving, Texas
DFW’s corporate front door — and one of the most diverse coverage markets in Texas.
Irving is DFW’s corporate front door — Las Colinas headquarters towers, the DFW airport workforce, and some of the most diverse neighborhoods in Texas. Whether you’re a corporate transplant between benefit plans, an airport-area service worker, or a consultant on a long contract, Texas uses the federal Marketplace — and Dallas County has one of the deepest plan menus in the state.
How the Marketplace Works in Texas
Texas uses the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov. During Open Enrollment (November 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027) you can shop, compare, and enroll — enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1. Depending on income, federal tax credits can lower your premium and cost-sharing reductions can lower what you pay for care on Silver plans. Outside Open Enrollment, a qualifying life event — losing coverage, moving, marriage, a new baby — triggers a Special Enrollment Period.
Who I Help in Irving
Most of my Irving clients fall into a few groups:
- Corporate transplants — people who moved to Las Colinas for work and need bridge coverage before benefits kick in — or instead of them.
- Airport and hospitality workers — DFW-area service, hotel, and food workers whose jobs don’t always come with coverage.
- Consultants and contract professionals — long-term contractors buying their own plans between assignments.
- Families new to Texas — recent arrivals getting Texas coverage lined up for the whole household.
A Local Note on Choosing Well
Irving sits mostly in Dallas County, with parts reaching into Tarrant — and plans and networks shift at those county lines. I always quote your exact ZIP so you’re comparing real options, not approximations.
The Coverage Stack I Build for Most Irving Clients
My go-to setup for Irving buyers is simple: a Marketplace health plan for the big stuff, paired with supplemental coverage from Golden Rule (UnitedHealthcare) to help with the bills a health plan leaves behind. Most of my clients end up with AccidentWise for accidental injuries, HospitalWise for hospital stays, and DentalWise Max — to help with dental costs, subject to the policy’s benefits and limits — so a root canal doesn’t hit your budget all at once. I’ll walk you through the whole stack on one call, in plain English.
Why Work With a Broker Instead of Going It Alone
The Marketplace website will show you plans, but it won’t tell you which doctors are actually easy to see, which plans have surprised people with bills, or how a plan change next year affects the prescriptions you take. That’s what I do.
As a licensed broker, I help you compare plans side by side — networks, drug coverage, deductibles, and real total cost — in plain English. There’s no fee for my help; I’m paid by the insurance company. And I don’t disappear after enrollment: when you get a confusing bill or need to change plans, you call me directly at 954-787-9118.
