Your Bills, Explained: Who To Call For What
Two bills, two jobs — and one number for each.
Two separate bills confuse everybody — here’s the simple version, plus exactly who to call for what. Save this page.
Step 1: Know Which Bill Is Which
- Your health plan (Ambetter, Oscar, or another Marketplace carrier) bills you for your main health insurance. That’s one charge, in that carrier’s app or website.
- Golden Rule / UnitedHealthcare bills your extras — accident (AccidentWise), hospital (HospitalWise), dental, and vision — together as a second charge. Different company, different bill, on purpose: they cover different things.
Step 2: Update Your Card or Payment (Golden Rule)
For your own protection, payment changes go straight from you to the carrier — I can’t take card numbers or change payments on my end. It takes five minutes:
- Call Golden Rule: 1-800-657-8205 (weekdays). Have your policy number ready — if you’re my client, I’ve already texted it to you. Ask them to update the card on file and confirm the next draft date.
- Online: view or print your ID cards anytime at uhone.com.
Step 3: If A Payment Failed
- Don’t wait for a cancellation letter. Call Golden Rule at 1-800-657-8205, update the payment, and ask them to confirm you’re back in good standing.
- Then text me at 954-787-9118 so I can note it on your file.
