Health Insurance in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

London Bridge city — boating, retirees, and Mohave County's hub.

Lake Havasu City runs on the lake — boating tourism, retirees, and service pros in Mohave County, hours from Phoenix or Vegas care.

How the Marketplace Works in Arizona

Arizona uses the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov. During Open Enrollment (November 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027) you can shop, compare, and enroll — enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1. Depending on income, federal tax credits can lower your premium and cost-sharing reductions can lower what you pay for care on Silver plans. Arizona has expanded Medicaid (AHCCCS) to 138% of the poverty level, so many lower-income households start there, with Marketplace credits above that line. Outside Open Enrollment, a qualifying life event — losing coverage, moving, marriage, a new baby — triggers a Special Enrollment Period, usually 60 days.

Who I Help in Lake Havasu City

Most of my Lake Havasu City clients fall into a few groups:

  • Tourism & marina workers — Lake economy crews without employer coverage.
  • Early retirees — Households across the island and mainland.
  • Self-employed owners — Shops along McCulloch Boulevard.
  • Regional families — Households from Parker to Bullhead City.

A Local Note on Choosing Well

Havasu Regional anchors Mohave County care — specialty referrals often go to Phoenix or Las Vegas, which I factor into network planning.

Why Work With a Broker Instead of Going It Alone

The Marketplace website will show you plans, but it won’t tell you which doctors are actually easy to see, which plans have surprised people with bills, or how a plan change next year affects the prescriptions you take. That’s what I do.

As a licensed broker, I help you compare plans side by side — networks, drug coverage, deductibles, and real total cost — in plain English. There’s no fee for my help; I’m paid by the insurance company. Many of my clients also stack supplemental coverage on top of their major medical: Golden Rule (UnitedHealthcare) AccidentWise, HospitalWise, and DentalWise Max dental coverage — benefit amounts and limits vary by the policy you choose, and we review the actual schedule together before you enroll. And I don’t disappear after enrollment: when you get a confusing bill or need to change plans, you call me directly at 954-787-9118.
